Mallika Angela Chaudhuri is the internationally certified founder of Laughing Budda Tattoos — Chennai’s first female-owned tattoo studio, where creativity meets identity in a bold, inclusive space.
An Indo-Canadian artist and actress, Mallika holds a degree from Western University, Canada, and has turned her passion for storytelling into a powerful tattoo movement rooted in self-expression, empowerment, and individuality.
She is also a post-graduate in PR & Social Media Marketing from Ryerson University, Toronto, and completed an executive program in
Branding & Disruptive Entrepreneurship at IIM Ahmedabad.
Her tattoo work is known for its *emotional depth and artistic precision, spanning styles like dotwork, pen sketch, trash polka, geometric, minimalism, tribal, and fine line. Every design is a story — made in collaboration with her clients.
She’s the recipient of the Times of India Best Woman Entrepreneur Award, among several other honors that recognize her as an Entrepreneural force who understands quality and consistency over everything else
She is the founder of Beeswax Influencers, a 360° influencer marketing company with over 8,000 creators and celebrities, and also handles sports PR for major leagues including the Indian Racing League, Rugby Premier League, and SSPL Street Cricket by actor Jayam Ravi. She also runs Snatch’d, an event and content production agency.
As an influencer herself, Mallika reaches over 3 lakh people weekly, and champions body positivity through campaigns like #LoveEverybody, created in collaboration with photographer G. Venkatram.
Her acting portfolio includes roles in Disney+ Hotstar’s “Live Telecast”, “Work From Home” (Malayalam), Rowdy Pictures’ KRK alongside Samantha, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, and an upcoming role in GV Prakash’s film releasing June 2025. She also created the viral thigh scripture tattoo on Samantha for KRK and has tattooed several high-profile celebrities. Her studio was launched by actor Jiiva and his wife.
A passionate animal rescuer, Mallika has saved over 700 dogs across India and the UAE, with dreams of starting a full-fledged sanctuary.
